We are a membership only gun range open to the public. Membership is $10.00 annually and a daily fee of $15.00 for one shooting lane at a time, all day.

Insurance requires ALL people on the range BEYOND the fence to be range staff or paying members. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime for range safety. Your attitude is part of range safety – be courteous!

We allow all CHL instructors to use our range after paying the range fees.

Fast Facts about TxGunRange!

  • Over the course of a few YEARS, we coordinated and gained all necessary approvals from local, State and Federal agencies, including Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
  • TxGunRange sits in a floodplain, approximately 10 feet below the highway elevation.
  • We are surrounded by 1500 acres of Federal floodplain.
  • Activity in a “flood” area limits what can be constructed, or brought in.  As an example, in the floodway area, we cannot have any permanent structures or barriers to water flow in the floodplain areas, we cannot bring in any foreign materials.
  • Our berm is 20 feet tall and 400 feet long, (exceeding NRA minimum guidelines,) and was built with all local/natural materials from this location.  No additional dirt or fill could be brought in!
  • The cement barriers you see between some of the ranges also have a bit of a story… they are originally from the Superconducting Super Collider project from the late 1980’s and early 1990’s in Waxahachie, Texas.  Use this random trivia with your friends next time you are out!
  • All ranges have at least one Range Safety Officer (RSO) staffed, sometimes two!
  • Daily Range Fee of $15 gives access to all ranges and includes ONE free paper target!
  • All targets are in open areas, subject to weather conditions.
  • After recent rain, keep in mind there may be mud on the range.
  • Bring your mud boots for posting targets!
  • Very rarely is there a wait for any of our ranges.
  • When shooters experience a wait, they often move to another open range and continue their visit until a spot opens up at the range of their choice.
